Festivals and Events

During the past few years, I have had the opportunity to organise and host a number of events, from comedy events (Idle Playthings) and spoken word nights (Rhyme and Reason) to TEDx, The Menteur Launch and Bath Festivals, as well as a number of conferences, seminars and workshops at the OECD and Bath Spa University.

For Bath Festivals, I was responsible for two stages in the centre of Bath managing bands with equipment, occasionally in adverse weather conditions, and responsible for noise control, as it was happening in busy town centre near many businesses.

For TEDxYouth Bath, I was one of the Marketing team members, helping out anywhere from creating marketing videos promoting the event beforehand, to handing out badges on the day (picture below) and live-tweeting the event alongside other volunteers.

I have been stage manager for the Idle Playthings comedy night for two years, ensuring the smooth organisation of the acts on the night, including props and headline acts. I did this alongside also performing in improv and sketches on the nights.
