Publications

As part of my university assignments, I have published articles online, in print, as well as having poetry and fiction published in magazines internationally.

I wrote three pieces for the Bath Magazine about a local open mic poetry night Rhyme and Reason during my second year at Bath Spa University and interviewed the directors of the night for the pieces.

For the Publishing student magazine, I wrote one article that ended up getting published, all about eating healthily on a budget. I also wrote about Writer’s Block for Shelf Magazine, as well as two other articles published in the physical copy.

In 2016, I published a short story titled Bright Pink Hair with Latvian-based bookazine AsAlwaysUnknown in their first issue, as well as a piece about breaking rules in a friend’s publication . My poetry has been published in the Menteur Magazine

Since 2012, I have participated in NaNoWriMo (November), Camp NaNoWriMo (April and July) and NaPoWriMo (April), to work on longform fiction and poetry projects, including several novels, short story collections, consecutive years of writing a poem every day for the month of April, and most recently, using Camp NaNoWriMo to write my MA dissertation.

In 2017, I released a collection of poetry about Latvian culture, coming of age and life away from home. Physical copies are still available for purchase but the online version can be found here.
