In my final year of my undergraduate degree, I took on the Spartan Poetry biweekly podcast in collaboration with SpaLife Radio. The previous year’s team had changed the format from team the year before and, while they were both very innovative and interesting, I devised a new format to condense the topic, poetry readings and local/regional/national/international updates into a shorter time period.

Over the course of the year, the show got a steady following, an increase in the listeners from the previous year. I got fellow students, who were active in the community, to host the show with me, discussing issues related to poetry and spoken word, as at Bath Spa University, the community was very active. Overall, the experience was really positive, as I got to try out a new medium and, through this, discovered plenty of new favourite podcasts!
